The Growatt Smart Energy Meter SEM-E 50KW is designed for monitoring self-consumption and limiting exports from commercial solar and storage systems. It can also provide flexible CTs for various system sizes with high control accuracy. It features a failsafe function to ensure system safety and reliability.
The Smart Energy Manager supports both grid-connected and hybrid/AC-connected inverters and operates as follows: The inverter converts the direct current generated by the sun into alternating current in the photovoltaic string. The energy generated by the inverter can be used for user load, battery charging, or feeding into the grid. The Smart Energy Manager is located between the inverter, the user load, and the grid and measures the voltage and current of the grid connection point. Depending on the user's needs and settings, the inverter's output power is adjusted in real time to control the final feed-in to the grid.
